As a volunteer organization, we’re not always able to answer questions on an individual basis. As such, we highly recommend the following before submitting a question or comment:
- Read our FAQs
- Visit our Resources page and take a look at past issues of our e-bite.
- Sign up for our e-bite, where we publish new information or clarifications every month.
This website is where we keep the most updated information and documents. If it’s not on this website, it is not an official IDDSI resource. Please keep in mind that IDDSI does not:
Provide and/or approve individual meal plans
Prescribe IDDSI levels to individuals - that responsibility remains with the medical practitioner or dysphagia professional.
Offer individual or organizational training or consulting.
Maintain a list of specific foods or recipes that correspond to an IDDSI level. IDDSI promotes the use of IDDSI Testing Methods to confirm the flow or textural characteristics of a particular food or drink at the time of service, as characteristics of foods and drinks may change with time, temperature, or method of production.
